2011 where did you go? I honestly feel like the whole year was a blur for me. Dominic turns 4 and Jackson is 18 months old...I blinked and 2011 was over. I guess with how busy our schedule is, I shouldn't be surprised!! I'm welcoming 2012 in with open arms. I have a really good feeling about this year!
So now on to the fun stuff...my New Year's goals (I don't believe in resolutions).
1. Keep up with my running 3x per week minimum.
2. Train and complete my first half marathon.
(If you didn't already know, I completed my first 10K on January 1st, go me!)
3. Eat more vegetables. This one might sound stupid, but my diet is really lacking in the green.
4. Strength train 2x per week. I also always manage to skip out on this, but it's really important for toning and will definitely help my running.
5. Run a 5K race in under 30 minutes. This means running a 9:39 min/mile for 3.1 miles. (Right now I average about 10:45-11:15 depending on course.
6. Participate in my first mini triathalon. (This depends on if I can get a tri bike for a cheap price, they are rather expensive)
7. I want to make sure my husband and I get one date night a month. As of right now, we never go on dates. I think it's really important that we start doing that.
8. Put more into our savings account every month :)
9. Spend as much time as I can with my boys. I'm blessed to be able to stay at home with them during the day and most nights, just not the weekends. :)
10. Cross your fingers that I get into nursing school...because I really want to be a nurse, and better my boys futures simultaneously :)
Ultimately, keeping up with this should help me end up at my weight loss goal and ideally lose 2-3 jean sizes. I may have gone through lulls and have some difficulties at times, but the best thing about me, is that I never give up. I managed to keep up with the exercise for all of 2011. I've lost 30 pounds in the past year and managed to keep it off! So obviously I'm doing some things right lol It will also better my marraige and family life.
So those are my goals for the year...I'm hoping to complete EVERYTHING on this list! :) Good luck to everyone else with their goals and/or resolutions!
